Ritual Devices Copper Kettle Fuzz

The Copper Kettle is an oddball fuzz distortion with a multiple personalities. A hybrid Germanium/Silicon Fuzz designed around the legendary Interfax Harmonic percolator, but with a much expanded tonal repertoire.

Along with the regulation output Volume and Harmonics (fuzz) controls, I have incorporated a powerful 2 band active EQ, allowing you to both cut and boost Treble and Bass frequencies with subtlety or brutality.

The clip/lift switch changes the pedals voice. With germanium clipping engaged, as in the Harmonic Percolator, The Copper Kettle spits and growls with rage. Switching to the Lift setting the clipping diodes are disengaged from the circuit. There is a dramatic volume increase. Unity becomes around a quarter of the volume pot's rotation. This tames the sound dramatically, and overdrive-esque tones are possible with the Harmonics pot at a quarter, distortion at half way, and fuzz from there on in.... Activate the clipping and weep for your tone!
