The Foxxton Woods is one of our nastiest, wildest pedals. It’s our take on a very special felt-covered octave fuzz from the 1970s. But as you’d expect, we’ve ramped things up a notch with extra controls for more versatility, more fuzz, and a whole lot more sleaze. And that’s before you throw the upper octave into the mix…

Fuzz and octave. It’s a match made in heaven. But there’s nothing angelic about the Foxxton Woods. This pedal is rough around the edges in all the right ways, playing jump rope with the line between sweet, singing leads and scorching, searing riffs.

And the Foxxton Woods is anything but a one-trick pony. Take control of everything from the frequency response of the pedal to what type of clipping diodes are used in the signal path to produce tones that are as distinct as they are filthy.

Octave fuzz has been a part of the guitar world since the 60s, and it covers everything from vintage-correct ‘Woodstock’ tones to the screaming sounds of alternative rock in the 90s.

With the Foxxton Woods, you’ve got instant access to a universe of octave-up fuzzy goodness, and enough controls to tweak the sonic characteristics of the output to either sit perfectly within a mix or soar above it to take over a track and leave heads spinning.

In addition to a standard Tone control, the Foxxton Woods has dedicated knobs for the signal’s Body and Shift. Body controls the low-end response of the output, letting you dial in beefy, massive sounds or thinner, cutting tones. And the Shift control alters the mid-range response, for even more flexibility to help you get the fuzz tone you’ve been fantasising about.

Plus, the Foxxton Woods comes with our’s signature diode rotary switch, which selects one of eight different clipping types:

  • Germanium: Smooth, sweet, and classically ‘amp-like’.
  • Silicon: Louder, brighter, and a little bit brittle.
  • LED: Louder again, with less saturation and more punch.
  • Asymmetrical germanium: A more aggressive version of germanium.
  • Asymmetrical silicon: A more aggressive version of silicon.
  • Asymmetrical LED: A more aggressive version of LED.
  • Transistor/MOSFET: Similar to silicon, but sweeter and crunchier.
  • No diodes: Loads of output and much less gain.

In an upgrade from the previous version of the Foxxton Woods, you can also reach either the fuzz (without the octave) or the octave fuzz directly from bypass. Just hit the right footswitch and you’ll immediately be right where you need to be.
